hey I want to do a quick recording here to show you how to configure an SPF record so that Infusionsoft can send on your behalf and this isn't something that you need to do but my understanding is it's something that can help improve your email deliverability so I got a message yesterday from a friend of mine mark penny shoutout to mark and he said hey man like your email you just sent me or that I got from you went to my spam folder and so he did an SPF record look up to see if I had configured my SPF record to send allow Infusionsoft to send on my behalf and of course I hadn't done that yet it's something I had been putting off because it's kind of technical and it's definitely not my forte getting back here in the back end of my Bluehost hosting and sorting that sort of thing out so I spent a little bit of time this morning doing some research and some homework and I wanted to walk through the process in case anyone else uses Bluehost and would like to configure their domain or to allow infusions off sending emails on behalf of their domain so if you log into your boot Bluehost here you're gonna see domains go ahead and click on that and then below that you're gonna see zone editor and you can go ahead and click on that as well now it's gonna ask you to select from your domains if you have multiple you'll select of course the domain you're configuring for infusion stuff to send on behalf of and then there's some random fields here host record TTL type points to this like I said is not really my strengths not my forte I'm not super familiar with what all of these do but I do know based on some articles that I found and read that you're gonna want to put the @ symbol here so because it's at monkeypod marketing that I'm sending on behalf of that's what I'm putting there and then my instructions were to change this to txt and then for the txt value you're gonna actually find this help article so you just go to the Infusionsoft Help Center search for SPF record and this article itself isn't terribly helpful the step by step instruction just have this one bullet point but all you really need need to do is copy this so that little section right there it does tell you what those different pieces mean but again it's rather technical so I just copy it and then you paste it right in here and then you're gonna click Add record now I've already done that and you can see that it shows up down here under the txt record at and it's got the infusion mail etc so the way that I verified this and I'm not a hundred percent confident that I did this right but you just I did SPF record lookup and the first option that came up was SPF record lookup here so then if you type in your domain monkeypod and marketing whoops dot-com SPF record lookup there we go so it says the SPF record is published record found the record is valid so again I'm not a hundred percent confident here but all of these green check marks look pretty positive to me and so I feel pretty comfortable that I've done this the right way and that now infusions off is gonna have much easier time delivering on my behalf so hopefully that helps you as well good luck you .

Video Discription

Wow. That's a long video title. Anyway, this video is a quick walkthrough for how you can add a SPF record to your domain which will allow Infusionsoft to send emails on your behalf – this can help with getting your emails delivered more consistently.
