hi everybody its John from wire here in this video we're going to talk about upgrading your PHP version to a more recent version in order to make your site run faster and more efficiently so this guide and tutorial is for Bluehost only if you're on another hosting platform you may have to find these settings a different location but if you're already on Bluehost you're good to go so you want to first sign into your Bluehost account and then click on cPanel and then once you're in cPanel scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page to where it says PHP config under programming so click on PHP config and Bluehost has this handy feature where it'll tell you any of the current applications on all your domains that are not supported in whatever PHP version you have so for example right now I am running on PHP 5.6 if you run on PHP 5.4 or below you definitely want to go ahead and upgrade PHP 5.6 but as I've said before always make sure that your site is functioning correctly before doing so and you definitely want to check this section right here to make sure that you don't have any glaring issues already once you go ahead and click on PHP 5.6 or if you want to do this one as well just click on Save Changes and you'll be upgraded as soon as that goes through if you want to revert back to an earlier PHP version you just need to click on whatever version you want and right now Bluehost only supports 5.4 and 5.6 if you have any questions just go ahead and leave a comment below and I hope this helped you out thanks and have a good day bye .
