Σ Sigma Hosting is mainly a video tutorial website that make it easier for you to search within the transcript of videos for solutions of problems you might face during your journey in dealing with different webhosting companies. So, we are very sorry if the text is not well organized and we may work on it in the future but for now we hope you get the benefit mainly from the video then you may need to have a look on the transcript. Thanks for your understanding 🙂

in this video I'm going to show you how to do a one-click install of WordPress this of course will depend on your hosting service I'm on bluehost right now there's other ones that do offer one click installs like hostgator and dreamhost just to name a few there's also some hosting companies that will actually have wordpress just installed as a default as a specialized in wordpress but if your hosting company does have this one click install and have the option to use it it's going to be the easiest way for you to install wordpress as you can see we're in the cPanel so if you have a cPanel on your hosting service you would click in there and find something that would say software services or perhaps um add-on software or something like that we're going to open up that little window here and scroll down and we find the WordPress emblem or logo i should say we click on that takes us to a page here if we've had the site for a while and then some previous installs they'll all be listed but you will be looking for this down here where it says install wordpress simply click on that first thing it does is give you an option of which version you want to actually install usually default it's going to be have the most recent version the most stable version here is where you're actually going to decide where you want to install it for example if you have just purchased your hosting and you're building a new site you would leave this area blank but if you've had this hosting before and you want to either add a sub domain a new site or a blog or even do a redesign of your current site and leave the the current one live you would actually do this in a subfolder so we can create a subfolder here we're just going to call it sample blah and down here we're going on click this if they have any we don't want them to actually install any other stuff we need sometimes ill they'll give you some options of installing some themes and different things and that can be your choice but I like to just prefer to do a clean install I'm going to agree the terms push the button here and this just should take a few seconds okay once that is installed we are good to go we have our site URL login URL our username and our password we're going to be changing this after we get everything set up and I will show you in the video on how to manage your users how to change that but right now we're just going to test it so we're going to we're going to copy the password and we're going to go to the login URL and then admin the new password click login and we are in with our new install so we're ready to start designing our new site or our blog and if you don't have a one-click install you are going to have to manually install WordPress so you can watch the video on the steps to do that .

Video Discription

There are a lot of hosting companies that provide one-click installs of WordPress. The often use something like Fantastico, etc. This makes it very easy for a user to install their self-hosted site. Watch this video as I do the install via the cpanel. This is very similar to how other hosts do the one-click install.
