In addition, upgrading PHP produces a significant speed increase. PHP 7.0 was a huge leap forward – more than doubling performance compared to 5.6. With version 7.3 we have seen another 20% – 25% increase compared to 7.0. 7.4 is also showing performance improvements over 7.3.
