hi everybody its Eliot here from venture cents a calm I'm actually on holiday in Spain today so I just thought I'd make a quick intro video whilst I'm out here so today in this video I'm gonna be showing you how to create a print-on-demand website using Wix and a third-party company called order a print for those of you that don't know what print-on-demand is it's basically where you create a website upload your designs to multiple different products and when somebody purchases one of those designs or one of those products from your website a third-party company prints it and sends it out through your customer for you so it basically it means you don't have to hold any inventory or ship to the customer everything is done for you all you have to do is create some designs and upload them so for those of you new to the channel this channel is all about making money online and how to stop your own businesses so please be sure to subscribe drop a comment down below and like this video if you do enjoy it and for those of you already subscribed thank you very much for your support so far so let me just explain a little bit about why you might want to use Wix to create a print-on-demand store instead of using Shopify and printful which is the kind of general method that everybody uses or you know either print on demand websites like and merge by Amazon so my first reason is is Wix is really easily customizable compared to Shopify if you really want to make something you know that stands out and that's quite nice because a lot of people are making Shopify websites these days so they do and are a lot of websites are starting to look quite similar so if you want to make something really unique with shop fire you have to purchase a premium theme and they can be quite expensive you know $60 upwards with Wix everything is a lot more easily customizable the drag and drop features are you know they they give you a little bit more uniqueness to them you can put things in different areas whereas with Shopify you have to follow each of their different what's the word I'm looking for grids that they have or sections different sections that they use whereas with Wix you can literally put anything anywhere so you can design your store however you like so that's the first reason why you might want to use Wix to create a print undermind store instead of Shopify and the second reason is that it can generally be a lot cheaper so Shopify is 29 dollars a month and you know if you can afford that then that's a reasonable price whereas if you're on a tight budget Wix is you can start off Wix for about $15 a month for a WIC store so it you know considering you don't have to buy a premium theme and it's only $15 a month so that's a saving of $14 a month compared to Shopify so it can work out a lot cheaper so without keeping you waiting any longer let's jump straight into the video let me give you a preview of everything we're going to be going through in this tutorial today so we're firstly going to start focusing on the products that we want to offer on our store so order a print offer loads of different products that you can print your designs on so I'm going to show you how you can focus your store around a specific product and actually create a brand for that store we are then going to move on to picking a brand name for our store and create a beautiful logo for absolutely free for our print-on-demand store and then we're going to move on to actually creating the site so I'll be showing you how to pick a color palette so that you can brand your store really perfectly how you can drag and drop everything on Wix so you won't need any technical knowledge and how you can actually come up with some designs for your print on designs demand store to add to a gallery just like this one also be showing you how to create a frequently asked questions page a Contact Us page and a shipping and returns and store policy so if I just show these for an example and all of this will be for absolutely free so we won't need to pay for any of this content on our store and finally let me just show you how the store actually works so if a customer wants to purchase one of your designs they can just simply click on buy now they can pick one of the products that they want so let's say this canvas rep they can pick the size they want depending on what the item is and the style that they want they can click Add to Cart checkout and order a print will actually print this for you and ship it directly to your customer so you don't have to deal with any inventory if your customer doesn't want to carry on shopping they can go to continue shopping and they can pick other products so if they were to pick a phone case they could go through and filter and pick the phone case that they like and simply Add to Cart they can also amend their car so they can delete items if they wanted to as well and continue shopping so the first thing that we're going to do is go over to the order a print website so the third party company that actually prints all of these products and sends out to our customer and have a look at which products we can pick for our print-on-demand store the first thing we want to do before we actually start setting up our print-on-demand store with Wix is pick the products that we're going to have on our website the reason I like to start with this as the first step for setting up they print under my store is because by picking the products and specifying the products that we're going to have on our store that's how we can pick a brand name so whatever products that you're going to focus on mainly you can make your brand name and build your brand around those products so have head over to order a print comm and I'll leave a link in the video description to this website so you can find it there as well and just scroll down and go and click on catalog so in the catalog is all the products that order a print offer so basically what order print is they are the third party company that will print your products and ship them out to your customers when a customer orders an item from your Wix print-on-demand store so at the moment order a print they have quite a limited number of items but as I mentioned in the beginning of the video because Wix is such a cheap alternative to Shopify and printful the the number of items that you can choose for your print-on-demand store it's not massive but they are expanding it slowly and gradually and I reckon over the next year or so they'll expand add in different items such as t-shirts and different types of apparel but at the moment they mostly have all of the items that they have our phone cases mugs all types of different posters pillows and totes tote bags which are really quite popular at the moment metal prints as well which is something that I think you know printful and Shopify method are not offering at the moment so that's really good alternative to choosing those and like I said because Wix is such a cheap alternative it doesn't offer as many products at the moment where they are expanding so when I mentioned in the beginning is that we're gonna pick our products first whatever products I picked here or you choose that's what you can build your brand around so for the purpose of this tutorial I have gone for tote bags so I can obviously build a brand name all around the product of tote bags which I'll move on to in a minute and show you how to pick some cool brand names but you can you can obviously if you want to you can choose all of the are these different items so you could include all of these products on your store but I personally think it's better when creating a print-on-demand store to focus on one or two types of products so if you are gonna first focus on posters and you want to print nice images you've taken you can add all of these different poster types that'd be cool but then if you are going to pick one of these other different products I would just stick with one so you can just create a website and online store all about phone cases and selling phone cases or mugs or pillows or in my case tote bags because that way you you're drilling down into a really specific niche and you can find the customers that are really interested in this type of product and you can create loads of different prints for this product instead of focusing on loads of different items because when a customer comes to your store and they see all this this store sells posters phone cases mugs they're you know that sometimes customers are sportful choice they don't know what to buy and then they end up leaving your store and so if you are focusing on a specific product that way you can drill down into a niche and find those customers that are really just looking for that specific item so like I said for this tutorial I'm going to focus on tote bags only but have a look around and see what products you are interested in what you could make nice prints on and nice designs if you have anything in mind I'm actually going to show you where you can get some designs and how you can create some designs but if you do have something in mind already just pick a product that you think is going to kind of suit your designs best so if you've got really you know nice large images that you take it's not really going to be applicable to a phone case whereas if you're creating small little graphics you know something quite cool and dainty you could easily print that onto a phone case and it probably wouldn't look as good on you know a large frame picture or something like that so like I said I'm gonna focus on tote bags have a look around on the one print catalog and see which products that you want to pick and then once you have picked your product we're going to now move on to how to pick a brand name for your print on demand which store also when picking your products just make sure that they are shipping to the countries that you want them to ship to so if you're based in the US just make sure that the products you pick ship to the US or if you're based in Australia or the UK or Europe just make sure that the products you pick ship to those countries well you don't have to be based in the country that you ship to but sometimes it does make easier if you do have customer returns or customer inquiries due to the time zones and things like that so where you can check which countries these products ship to is just to click on the knowledge center scroll down and you just see products and shipping if you just click on read more and you can see under here which countries all of the products ship to so for example if you are based in Canada don't pick acrylic prints as your product because obviously those products don't ship there and you're more likely to make a success of your store if you are shipping it to the country you're in because you kind of you're aware of the trends in your own country and what people like in your country so you can create better designs for your you know for your products you know like I said you can ship to countries outside of where you're based but when you're starting off it's probably best to just ship to the country that you're based in so you can see here that order a print are they're shipping all of their items out within three business days and they generally arrive in nine to twelve days which is a pretty reasonable amount of time considering that you're not actually dealing with any of the the shipping or the inventory it's actually a pretty quick and easy way to start your business and you know get it off the ground and have a third party fulfilling these orders for you so now we've looked at the different products that order a printer offering and which countries they're shipping to we're going to move on to picking a brand name for our print on demand Wix store when picking a brand name I like to pick a brand name that tells my customers instantly what my store is all about and what products I'm selling so if I'm focusing on tote bags for this tutorial I want to pick a brand name that's all about you know focuses around tote bags and possibly has the word tote in it in so when my customers see that brand name they know exactly what the store is going to be selling and what products is going to be focusing on so generally I like to just start brainstorming brand names so I would head over to Google and I would just say words that rhyme with tote and I'll just go on to rhyme zone and I would just have a look at all of the words that rhyme with tote and then try and think of you know famous quotes so that that's a word I could use but famous quotes that have a word that rhymes with tote in it so for example float so the famous quote that comes to mind when I think of float is float like a butterfly sting like a bee by Muhammad Ali so I've actually started brainstorming some names so I've gone for tote like a butterfly which i think is a pretty cool one and then sometimes I like to just think of words that people use on a day-to-day basis and you can just change them and put your product name in there so for example we all know the word alcoholic and people like to put holic at the end chocoholic so you could do something like total holic or if you've gone for pillows or posters poster holic pillow holic a lot of them that the domain names for them may already be taken so you have to be quite creative these days when you're trying to pick a brand name because don't you know the Internet's been around for a long time so a lot of domain names have been purchased already so you have to yet as I said you to be really creative and if to do a lot of brainstorming when you're picking your brand name but the best way like I said is to just focus on your product and try and get across to your customer in a clever way or in a catchy way so I've picked some names so I've gone for total Isha's row your tote so for example like row your boat this one is my favorite I'm not going to actually pick this one but I do really like it boats and totes so have anybody seen the film stepbrothers they focus on boats and something else so these brand names are surrounding some of the other products that order a print sell so if you have picked one of the other products you could possibly use one of these brand names so for example the great pillows if you've picked pillows as the product you're going to focus on so you can pick anything so for example that's based on the Great Wall of China which is obviously 7th one of the seven wonders of the world or you know you can pick a moment in history so like the Bay of Pigs you could pick something like bay or posters if you if you're in the posters Anish and you've picked posters as your product that you're going to focus on or even something you know like a film name so I know a film that came out a few years ago called where the wild things are which is based on a children's book so if you've heard of this children's book where the wild things are which is yeah a film that came out in 2009 so quite a while ago so you could just say where the pillows are so something like that something silly and then something that can relate to the type of customers that you are marketing towards because generally people that are interested in these type of products posters pillows mugs tote bags they kind of like to have a bit of you know that it's quite a fun product it's not something that needs to be sleek and cool like like a sports brand or something like that so you can have a bit of fun with the brand name just as much as you can have a bit fun with the actual products you're selling and another thing to mention when you are picking your brand names when you're in the brainstorming process is to just always double-check that the domain name so the website.com name is available for the brand name that you're coming up with because you don't want to spend an hour or two hours brainstorming with these ideas and then when you actually go to buy a domain name for them they were gone and they're not available so if you just head over to venture sense icon click on resources and scroll down until you see GoDaddy you can just click on get your GoDaddy domain and this is an affiliate link so if you do use this to purchase your domain name much appreciate because I do receive a small commission if you purchase your domain name through this link and like I said just get the names that you have brainstormed and just start entering them in into GoDaddy just to see if the domain name is free so if I just copy one of these for example this one the great wall of pillows and just paste it in here and you can just search it and see if it is available or not so as you can see this domain name is available for purchase and all of the brand names that I've come up with here are actually available too because I have double-checked them all so I'll just show you one more so this one is also available so like I said feel free to use any of these domain names if you can't come up with a brand name you like or if you really like the sound of one of the names that I have come up with filtered free to use them because I can't use them all and I'm using this one quarterly totes so all of the rest will go to waste if somebody doesn't use them and if you are struggling to come up with the name then you know you have a quite a few names there too there you can already use so now that I've come up with my brand name quarterly totes I'm actually going to purchase the domain name from GoDaddy so all you need to do is once you've found a branding you like and you can see that the domain name is available just click continue to cart so I'll just click that again and all you need to do is go through the purchasing process so it just works like any other normal ecommerce store you go through you don't need any of this extra privacy but you can buy it if you want to so all this privacy protection means is that if somebody wants to search the domain nobody can see who purchased it so if you don't want to have your details online then you can purchase this I don't bother because I don't mind if somebody knows that I've purchased their domain so you can just click no thanks and like I said just go through the whole checkout process to purchase your domain name enter in your bank details like you would on any other site and after that we're going to move on to creating a logo for our newly purchased brand name and just worth knowing that the reason I use GoDaddy to purchase my domains is because once you purchase them they're really easy to manage and cool to connect to a website so that's the reason why I use GoDaddy to purchase all of my domains so I'm just going to finish up the purchasing process for my domain name and then we'll move on to creating a logo for our branding to begin creating your logo just head over to canva.com so mine already automatically logs me in but I'll just quickly sign out just to show you all you need to do is when you get to this website is sign up with your email address and create a password and then just click login it will then bring you to this page which so this is basically where all of the templates are so what canva is it's an online tool that allows you to create graphics and there's loads of different templates that you can use so they do have a logo template but I don't actually like to use this template because it generally makes the logo look a little bit too big when you add it through websites such as Wix in Shopify so for this tutorial we're obviously going to be used using Wix to set up our website so we want to create a logo so you can see I've already been playing around with the logo that's more horizontal so when we add it to the top bar on our website it fits in nicely so what you can do is you can click use custom dimensions and if you just type 490 by one two five and click design and you can see here it's more of a horizontal design so in within camera there's loads of different things you can do to start creating your logo so if we click on elements and I click on illustrations if I just type in Toth in here you can see that there's kind of different bags so like tote bags I could use and they cost a dollar each so you can buy them for really cheap to get a logo set up or you know I think personally when creating a logo it's mainly best just to use text and have something that stands out and looks nice you don't always need to have an icon in your logo and one main thing to mention is that you don't want to spend a massive amount of time on your logo you know you can perfect it as you go along as long as it looks nice and it stands out and it matches your niche for your product that's the most important thing and you don't want to spend a massive amount of your budget on your logo because you can always update as you go along and as your store grows so I'm just going to go for a text logo so we can just add some text in here so you can just line it up and I think for my quote elite Oates logo I'm going to use some font that looks quite cool so I'm going to go for this brush of font so it's a bit more of a feminine front I would say but generally I would say a tote bag is a bit more of a feminine product so you you find more females buy tote bags than males so I'm just gonna go for this and I'm just going to type in my brand name and we can just stretch this out and make the font a little bit bigger if we want to and she want to drag that into the center again there we go I'm just gonna make it a little bit bigger again maybe let's say 50 so you can add custom sizes in in canva so we just move that into the center there we go and we can actually do is you can create a really cool kind of 3d look for your logo just by using text so if we're glad this and we just click copy and then you can just move this make this a little bit smaller so let's say make this 40 well that's a little bit too small maybe more like 47 and you can just or even keep it the same size actually and just move it to the side a little bit with your keyboard and then if we change the color now you can see here it's got this nice kind of 3d style to it so we can just move it down a little bit and that's a great and easy way to create a logo for your brand name just by using text and having a kind of 3d style text so you can go around on here and look at loads of different fonts to use and loads of different colors so I think for my logo I'm going to go is a more kind of feminine kind of girly kind of look so I think we'll go with purple and I'm going to stay with this and it's really good to you know have the theme and the colors color scheme constant all the way through your website so whatever the color is you pick here so if we look on the color palette just make sure that that's the same color that used all the way through so if you just hover over this you'll see the hexadecimal code come up so that's the code that you can use if you want to use this color on your actual website later on as well but when we're building our website I'll show you how to do that as well so you can just play around with this and just create your logo when you create your website you might want to even recreate your logo if you decide to change this color scheme or anything like that but I'm just for your purpose of the tutorial just showing you a quick and easy way to create your logo and once you've done this you can just click download so I'll just download that and it should come into your downloads within your folders so if I just go to my downloads and I just grab this and I just want to add this back into the folder where I'm creating the video and when you actually download your logo from canva it will come out with this white background unless you have a premium account so a premium account allows you to download all of your graphics without my background or with a transparent background but a great way to get around this is to just head over to Luna pic so just type Luna pic into Google click on the first link and just click upload choose a picture so I'm just going to choose the picture that we just had and all you need to do then is click Edit transparent background and if I just click on this and you can see here the background has now been edited out so that's perfect so that just means that when we upload this logo to our website it won't have a white background on it so all you then need to do is click apply threshold and then we can download this version of our logo without a background so just click on file and click Save image and then click save as PNG and if I just head back to my downloads you can see here that the image has now saved to my downloads so I just click on this and you can see here is my logo and there's a completely transparent background so that's really great so now that we have done this and created our logo for our brand we're going to head over to Wix and sign up for Wix and I'll show you how you can start setting up your print on demand store using the Wix ecommerce platform in order to complete the signup process for Wix just head back over to venture sense icon click on resources and scroll down until you see Wix so this is actually an affiliate link so if you do sign up for Wix using this link here I do receive a small commission so it is much appreciated there's also a link in the video description for Wix and this is also an affiliate link so much appreciate if you do use either of those links so just click on build your site with weeks today and you'll be brought directly to Wix calm and this allows you to sign up for Wix and create an online store using the Wix ecommerce platform so what Wix is if for those of you that don't know it's a drag-and-drop builder that allows you to create websites we have having no technical knowledge all we have to do is so for example this store you can just drag all of the areas that you want and update the text and images as you go so we're going to sign up for Wix so we need to do is click start now and it's going to ask you to follow up the signup process so you just need to enter in your email and just enter it in again so I'm just copy and paste in there then create a password for your Wix store and click sign up once you have signed up using your email and you've create a password it will ask you what kind of website you want to create so this kind of just narrows down the process of the templates that Wix suggests you when you pick what type of store you want to create so of course if we're playing a print-on-demand store trying to sell items and products just click and pick online store and then it will ask you if you want to use the Wix Adi or if you want to use the Wix editor so what the Wix Adi is it basically asks you questions and you answer those questions and it will create a Wix store for you so it's a really cool new feature you know you know kind of just creates everything for you based on your answers to the Wix questions and the Wix editor allows you to actually drag and drop and customize everything yourself and create how you want so we're actually going to use the Wix editor so just click on choose a template and then once you're over here it will give you loads of different templates that you can choose for your Wix store so you can scroll through here and pick a template so we're going to go through now and pick a template for our print-on-demand store so as you can see there are loads of different professionally designed templates that are created by Wix so if you just scroll down and you see that there's so many templates to pick from and they're all beautifully designed and they're all for loads of different categories and different niches so we've got you know tote bags so that's perfect for the product that I've picked we have t-shirts you have cycling ceramics there's loads of different things you know caps and if you just keep scrolling through there's around maybe 50 templates on here to choose from in loads of different categories if you do want to narrow the categories down you can just click on the side here to narrow down the different categories for a specific product or a specific niche and if there is a template that you know you like the look of you can just click on View so if you click on here and it will bring up a in a new tab it will bring up how the website would work if it was a real-life website so this is exactly how the website would function if it was you know running life so you can just click on this and see exactly how the website was function and if you do click on this little mobile button here you can also see how the website would look on a mobile and it's really important for your websites to look as good as they do on a mobile as they would on a desktop because you know over half of these cells and people viewing websites now is done through mobile so just click on this little icon as well just to make sure that you like the look of the theme that you're going to pick on a mobile as well so I'm just going to go back to all of the themes once again it is really also another thing to mention that's really important is that once you pick a theme you cannot go back so you can't make amendments to a theme and edit it and then go back and pick another theme you will have to start from the beginning so really take your time when you're picking a theme and get it right the first time so that once you do make the amendments you don't feel like you want to change your mind and go pick another theme because you don't want to put a lot of effort into a store and then say you know what I want to change this I don't like the look of it so pick something that you like to start off with and like I said just keep scrolling through and seeing what you like it was also worth mentioning that when you click on here so when you click on view this is just a general idea of how it can look for your store like the layout and everything but you can literally you can amend everything on this store and you can customize everything it's all drag-and-drop so you can customize the fonts the images the layout every single thing on a WIC store can be customized so don't look at a theme and think oh god I don't like the look of that I don't like this picture here because it's more about the kind of layout and what your theme or what your website could actually eventually end up looking like of course you can add your own products in and things like that so like I said take your time have a look around on the Wix theme store and pick one you like and then when you do find one you like simply click on it so I'm going to go with this tote bag one click view and simply click on edit this site so we just give it a second to load click on edit this site and now it's going to bring us to the Wix website editor so just give it a little second to load and once it loads it will come up with this YouTube video so I'm just going to get rid of this it's just a video showing you how to you know use the different tools on a Wix website editor but obviously in the tutorial I'm going to show you how to use that so you can simply skip that video as you won't need it and what we're gonna do now is we're just going to go through some of the design features that you can use on Wix and then we're gonna move on to looking at some design inspiration for our Wix online store and actually start creating the store from scratch so I'll give you a quick tour of everything that you can use on the Wix website editor so up in the top left hand corner we have pages here so if you click on this drop down you can click on any of the pages so these are all their pages that included in this template and when you click on in you can edit them so for example I have to click on the FAQ page I can now edit this page that comes with this template so I'll just go back to the shop page on this tab here under site this is all of these stuff that actually allows you to manage your site so for example connecting a domain name the one that we purchased from GoDaddy in the beginning getting found on Google so submitting your website to search engines to try and boost your rank within Google and things like that under tools you'll see the tool bar is ticked so that's this down here so what the toolbar allows you to do is any element that you add to your website you can actually just alter it using the toolbar the gridlines so these grid lines here are kept to ensure that whatever you include within your website makes it mobile responsive and responsive to whatever you know device the user is looking at your website form so if you use these templates sorry if you use the the the gridlines you're always ensure that your website works on a mobile or on a tablet on a desktop or wherever so keep those ticks under help you can go on here just to look at Wix is blogs about setting up a WIC store and things like that and under upgrade you can actually you know this is where you would purchase the hosting and everything for your store to get it up and running so we'll do that at the end and of course the Save button is very important so every time you make a change or a significant change to your store you want to you're going to want to save that so if anything happens your computer turns off by accident at least everything is saved with the preview button allows you to see what your store will actually look like when it's a real life website if you click on mobile that just lets you see like I showed you earlier what your website is going to look like on a mobile and when you click publish so this is what we'll be doing later to actually set up to saw publish this basically means is creating your store so that it's live and anyone can actually go on it and start purchasing things also on the left hand side you'll see all of these different tabs so this one is the menu here and the pages so it's the same as this the background just means that you can change the background color so you can see my one is white at the moment so that allows you to change the background on each page the ad is just if you want to add different elements so maybe some text or an image the apps so we'll talk about apps later so adding apps allows you to you know your customers to opt into an email or there's loads of different apps you can add maybe customer reviews and things like that the upload so these is all of the images that you upload or anything you uploaded onto store maybe some text but it's mostly going to be images in our case and at the bottom here so my store this is the app that you need to plug in to a Wix website to actually make it a store so when you pick an online store template automatically adds there and this start blogging tab just means if you want to add a blog to your store so we'll talk a little bit about that later so now I've given you a tour of everything on the Wix website editor we're going to look at some websites that I'm going to use for inspiration to start creating my online store all based around selling tote bags so let me just show you some websites that I'm going to use for design inspiration to create my Wix store it's really good to have an idea of what you want your website to eventually look like in mind before you actually start creating it and the reason behind that is is that if you don't have any idea of what you want your site to look like that's gonna come across to your customers if it looks like you know you've just gone in bull in a china shop and just started creating things and putting it together and you haven't really put a lot of design and a lot of effort into the look and feel of the website it's gonna show to your customers you know that this website is a bit more amateurish and people that think websites are amateur they don't usually end up buying from those online stores so let me show you some websites that I'm going to use as design inspiration to create my online store so the first one is skinny-dip so this is a online store that sells women's accessories so I know mine's mainly or just around tote bags so this is kind of similar even though it's got a lot more variety but I like the different colors so when you hover over it it's kind of a dull pink and you hover over it it becomes a hot pink so this is what I'm gonna use kind of as design inspiration to create my online store and I really like the pink trim so they still got a white background image but they've got a few kind of pink trims around the edges the next one is pretty little thing so once again it's got this kind of pink trim to it and like pink around the actual white so it's still quite clean and here's a few of the different bags that they're selling so this is another store that I am kind of going to use as design inspiration and the last one is quiz clothing so once again it's got a nice pink trim some good for images with kind of pink background and I like the different color scheme of gray pink and black so and of course white as my main background so this is what I'm kind of kind of go for all of my images with a pink trim maybe my buttons with a kind of hot pink color like this and my main color scheme is going to be purple pink black and gray so it's really good like I said to have that in mind before you start so when you start building it you have a consistency within your website because when your website looks consistent it looks more professional now I'm also going to show you some great font pairings that you can use in Wix it's really important to get the fonts right for your website to actually show your niche and match your niche so for example if I am creating a feminist or towards tote bags I'm going to want to use fonts that are quite feminine and you're going to want to put two fonts together that look well together so I'll show you a site so a blog written by Wix that has some good font pairings and I'll leave a link in the video description to this blog as well just you can have a read through it but essentially what it's summing up is that make sure your font match your brand's tone like I mentioned so for example on my site it's gonna be a more of a feminine font that I'm going to pick you may rank your fonts by importance so basically all that's saying is what is the key font that you want to use so within your Wix store the main fonts should be all of these kind of head fonts the one in your menu the one on your title of your products and things like that and then if you want to have a secondary front you can use that you know for for example here so this could be the main font and you could use a secondary front for your paragraphs so what you can do is just have a read through this blog and see you know what's the main reason behind picking different fonts and you can also when you're in your Wix editor when I'm actually start to create the site in a minute you can just play around with the different fonts that you think look good and go well to their look together and maybe just get someone's second opinion aside you know if you solve my website like this do you think that these two fonts match but it's really important those are the two key elements of designing your website make sure the fonts match and make sure you have a well-designed color scheme of colors that go together also if you are struggling to get a color scheme you can go to coolers dot Coase or leave a link in the video description to this as well and it's a website that simply generates colors color schemes for you and color palettes though this is a really nice color palette I really like this one so I would possibly think of using this in the future so you can just save a color palette if you want to and you can just press the spacebar and then just keep pressing it and it will come up with loads of different great color palettes that go well together so you can use that and another way to come up with a color scheme for your online store is to just go to the websites that you're getting inspiration from then download a Chrome extension so you have to be in the Google Chrome browser for this with called eyedropper so this is a really great one so you can see I've already been stealing some of these colors from the quiz clothing and we need to do is click pick a color from a webpage and you can hover over the color you want just like that and when you click on it it will give you the hexadecimal code which you can use on your Wix store and once you have done that just make sure that you have your colors ready in a notepad file just for ease of use so you can get them quickly and so that you're not using different colors on your website and messing things up so now we've looked at some design inspiration for our online store I'm going to actually start designing the store and showing you how we can move the elements around change the fonts and customize the whole store so the first thing we're going to want to do when we're customizing our store is add the Wix art store app to our store so what the Wix art store app is it allows you to upload your images and then when someone purchases the image it gets sent to the third-party company order of print now I showed you the beginning and they print it and ship it to your customer so Wix our store allows you to connect your store with order a print and in order to connect Wix art store to your store you have to delete the my store app because the my store app and the Wix art store app are completely different so what we're going to first start off we're going to delete this my store app so just click on menus and pages and whatever theme you're under under shop just click on this three dots and click delete and that has been deleted and now what we're going to want to do is we're going to add a page back in we'll call it store again click done and you can just drag this to the top of your menu so under menus you can just drag how that how you want them to look and they will change under here so we'll just drag this back to the top and then under here we're going to click add apps and we're going to type in Wix art store and click on that and just click Add to site so take a few moments to load and as you can see now the wicks art store has been added to a store page on our site so now we can start actually sitting up wicks art store adding in our images maybe changing the layout and setting the prices for our products so once again go back to add apps and anytime you want to make amendments to an app just click on add apps type in the app so we're going to type in Wix our store again click on it and then just click open app so now the Wix art store app will open and we want to do now is to click on setup store so we can actually start setting up our online store using the Wix our store app so click on setup store and click start now and then it will ask you what you want to choose to sell so digital images or digital and prints so as we're setting up they print-on-demand store we're going to pick digital and prints and you can see here it's fulfilled by order a print the third party company I showed you that will print it and ship it out for you so just click on sell digital and print and click OK and the first thing we're going to do is add images to Wix power source so these are all of the designs that you are going to print on your product so these are the images we're going to add so I will show you in a moment where you can get some designs for your store if you don't have something ready but let me just add mine in so just click on add more images and the first you want to do is delete all of the default images from the gallery so just click select all and press Delete and then you can click add media and click on image just click OK so you can see I've already added mine but all you would need to do is click on upload an image and navigate to the images so we just click upload an image then you can see here where you want to upload it and just click open so I'll just cancel that and now I'm going to add all of these images to my gallery so let me just select all of these and just click Add to page and as you can see now they've been added to my homepage so I'll just quickly show you where you can get some designs that you can add to your gallery and you can upload and then after that we'll carry on with setting up the pricing for our store so the first thing I would recommend if you want to get some designs for your print-on-demand store is to get a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud so that way you can use Photoshop and illustrator so illustrator you can use to create different cartoons and vector graphics and Photoshop can be used to obviously alter and enhance different photos and you can add text to it and things like that there is a link in the description to Adobe Creative Lab cloud is an affiliate link so if you do use it much appreciate it and this is probably the best and cheapest way to start creating designs for your print-on-demand store and there's loads and loads of tutorials on YouTube and online or you can you know purchase a udemy course about how to use Photoshop and illustrator this is what I use to start creating some designs and it doesn't really cost me the subscription and I have a two subscriptions only cost me 16 pounds a month or 20 dollars if you're in the u.s. so I would definitely recommend if you want to start creating some designs just download Adobe get a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud and you can use Photoshop and illustrator to create your own designs I also show you some other websites that you can use so 5r is a great website where you can purchase some cheap designs so I've got a review about five are coming out soon so just to check out that video and if you just go on here you can just type in I don't know cartoon and you can see here you know people are charging some of them are more pricey than others but you can get maybe five cheap designs for thirty or forty dollars it just depends you just have to have a look around or if I just type in design so just keep having a look around on fiverr there's loads of people so this person here will create a wacky cartoon for you for 3 pounds 61 which is five dollars in the US so just have a look on here there's loads and loads of designers on here that you can just pay to get some designs if you haven't been now what you create your own you can also use eco me calm so I done a review on economy last week so check that video out there pretty decent for $10 you can get you know a pretty decent design and you get two designs free for with the first one you buy so that works out at three dollars and 33 cents per design which is really cheap and this is a really great website that you can use just to you know get your get the ball rolling and get some designs up and ready you can also use more premium sites like 99 designs it's a little bit more expensive but if you are looking to you know expand your print-on-demand business you can use this website and like I said a bit more expensive but the designs obviously show because they are of higher quality and also another website is much ready by Amazon merge ready designs so I have got a review about this website coming out soon as well so just watch for that but this is another decent website that you can just pay and get some designs created for you so I just thought I'd show you some good websites and different ways that you can come up with your own designs so now what we're going to do is carry on and set the pricing for all of our products so just go back on to the Wix art store set up and click on set pricing and under here you can pick all of the products that you want your images to be printed on so like I said we picked the products in the beginning of the tutorial and obviously if you're choosing large images they're gonna look better on more like frame prints or pillows and if you have more dainty small images they might look better on from and mugs so I'm only focusing on tote bags for this tutorial so I'm just going to untick everything so let me just get rid of all of these and just leave tote bags ticked but of course you can print on everything if you choose it's up to you you don't have to just focus on one product you can focus on multiple different products or all of the products so now that you've done that and you've selected your products you just have to click Edit and under here you can select the percentage of profit that you want to make on each product so here is the paste price so this is the price that order a print are selling each of the products and whatever percentage you put in will obviously determine the retail price of the products and then your profit is down here so I'm just going to run this up to 25 percent because then the the eye mile profit gets rounded up to a more round number and the retail prices are rounded up to a more round number you can obviously round the prices up as well if you want to just by clicking on this so just click done and you can also change the currency of your products so obviously I'm based in the UK so I'm going to change this from US dollar to British pounds sterling but you can change it to you know whatever currency is more applicable to your store so that have loads on here Japanese your Danish Krone they have almost everything on here so that's perfect so just click done and now all of our product prices have been set up so the last thing we need to do is add the business info to our store in order for us to be able to accept payments to our store and once we've added our business info then we will start creating with the design and the layout of our store and finalizing everything so just click on manage store and it will take us to the backend of Wix store and under here we're going to start entering our business info so you enter your business name so this should be the same as the domain name you purchased at the beginning so I'm just going to enter in totally totes in here then enter in the email address for order confirmation so what this basically is saying is soon as an order is made on your store you will receive a notification to the email you enter in here so that's really important because you want to know when you're making sales so that you can fulfill them so I'm just going to enter in then come and then choose the country that you are in so I'm just going to scroll down and then under here these are automatically ticks so receive a notification whenever you make a sale you definitely want to leave that ticked and if you want to choose to receive promotions from order a print so if they're having a special sale themselves or or any updates they make new products they add so I'm going to leave that ticked as well then you can choose your language your currency which we have already chosen but you can change it in here again and you can also change the pricing format of how you want your prices to look I'm just going to leave that all the same and just click Save again art and it'll say great your business info has been saved so perfect that's great so now that we've set up our business info everything should be ready on our store and we can start customizing how the store actually looks so we can just click X on this and everything is set up on here so we can actually just click X on this for now and we're going to come back to the Wix our store layer just to change some of the design of our actual gallery so let's just click X on this and the first thing we're gonna do so now we're going to start designing all of the pages on our store so I'm going to design from the top all the way down so we're gonna start by designing how our header is going to look so just click on to the header and under here you will see design so just click on design and you can see that there's loads of different designs that you can add so when you hover over them they'll give you a preview of what they're gonna look like but why I'm going to actually do click on customize design and I'm going to create my own design so the first thing going to do is just change the colors so just go to fill color and opacity and you can change the background color so you can just add a color in here so pick a hexadecimal color that you like as in the ones I showed you earlier how to get from using the eyedropper chrome tool so I've already added one in here which is this light pink color so I'm just going to pick that and then I'm going to pick Center background color as well so every time you add a color in to Wix it does save it onto your color palette so you don't have to keep adding them over and over again so I'm just gonna click that again now and just click X so what I want to do now is just change the font and the font color of this menu as well so you can just click on it and everything is so easily customizable using Wix and just click the design again and then just click on customize design so once again I'm just going to change the colors so this one is actually fine I want to change the text color so just click on that and pick white and then I want to change the font so the font I like is this automatic SC and then I could just change the font size and make it a little bit bigger so maybe 35 that looks pretty decent and you can also change the hover color so you can see right now it's great I'm going to change it to white and also the clicked one is also great so I'm going to change this to white as well just to leave it the same and that is perfect that's looking good so far so next thing we're gonna do is add our logo in so you can start off just by deleting the logo that comes with the preset theme you've picked so just click on it and just simply press the delete button or you can right-click and there should be you can just click delete that way and the next thing that we can do to add our logo in is just go and click on add and click add image and then upload an image of the logo we created earlier in camera so let me just go to my uploads so you can see I've already uploaded mine but once again if you want to upload it just click upload images and you will see the images that you can browse on your PC where you saved them and upload them that way so I'm just going to pick this let me just see which one it is I think it's this one and just click Add to page so I've accidentally added two so I can just delete one it's that simple just by pressing the delete button and in order to make this into your logo you have to just make it a little bit smaller first and drag it in to your header and it will say attach to header so once you actually drag it in there it will say add it to header and just say got it and now once it's in there you can just line it up how you want to so you can see all these gridlines to kind of make the layout everything in line with each other and I'm just going to make this logo a little bit bigger now and I can you can move it over to this side if you want it is best to try and keep your logo within here because this way it means if they're in within these lines that they would be able to be seen on all devices so tablets and phones and computers as well but you can move it over here and I will be showing you how you can change the look of your store on a mobile in a minute anyway so I'm just gonna drag that over to there so our header is looking good if we just click on this I also want to just drag this down a little bit maybe make the hitter a little bit bigger and I could play around with it just to see what is a good size actually I'm going to leave it at that size because I actually want to drag this down just to leave a little white border around my gallery away from the header so next part that we're going to do we have our gallery in here so I can show you how you can customize your gallery using the Wix art store and also if we just preview our site quickly you can see when I hover over it to click on buy the the design for this is can also be changed so the buttons and the overlay so that's what we're going to change now so I'm just going to quote back to the editor so open up the Wix artstor app again so just click on add apps and you can see I've already type my name but just type it in again and click open app and the first thing we're going to do is get rid of this little watermark here because I don't think that that is necessary on my images so you can just click on settings and where it has this warm mark icon ticked just untick it and just click remove watermark so that's perfect that's being removed you can also go to the design and we can change the backgrounds and icons so you see this background when you hover on it you can change that so I'm just going to change that to the pink color of mine and you can just change how strong or on strong you want the overlay to be so if you want it to be a little bit transparent but I'm just going to leave it as sixty because I think that looks pretty nice and you can change these icon colors as well I'm just gonna leave them as white for now if we go back you can also change your button so you can add different text in here so you could say something like have a look well I'm just going to leave it as by now as well and then if you go into the layout you can change the layout of your gallery for example if you wanted to change it to a collage it would come out like this it will just depends on what images you are selling and what you think looks best so you could change it to a slider like this as well which is pretty cool but I think I'm just going to leave it as the grid that we originally had so that is how you can change and design your actual Wix art store gallery so I'm just going to click off this now and if we just go to preview we can see the changes that we've made so now I'm just going to finish off the home page so I just want to add and about Us section here so when you click on this about it just comes straight down to here and tells you a little bit about the company and then we'll finish off by completing the FAQ and content a page so just go back to the editor and what we can actually do is click on add and just scroll down until you see box and you can just add a box in here so I'm just going to add one of these I think and you can just line it up like this and stretch it out so everything on which is perfect it's so user-friendly everything is drag-and-drop and then if you just go on to design again you can click on customize the design and change the colors once again so I think I'm going to make this section grey so let me just go back to the color palette so it should be easy so I'm just going to grab this and click add color place this in here and click Add and now you see that the use has been added to my color palette so now I can click off of that and that's fine and I want to actually add some text in here that says about us and explain just a little bit about the company so we'll just go back to add and if you go to text you can add a heading and you can just place this heading so just keep going until it shows that it's in the center so should I just make this a bit smaller you can drag it there we go until it's in the center so I'm just going to change this to about us and just make this a little bit bigger so you can fit in and then change the font to the font I'm using so you want to keep everything consistent throughout so it should change some reason it's not try again there we go perfect and you can just change the size of this so I'm just going to make it a bit bigger let's just say 70 that should be big enough and you can see once you've realized it it might come out of the center so you can just clicks on this and we're just going to redo it so it's in the center again go back to the design so you can just double click to bring the design panel up again and in here we should it be able to change the color as well if I can just find it let me have a look edit text again and it should just be this one here is there good and just I'm just going to pick that pink color again so I think what I may actually do for this about our section is use this hot pink color just to see how that looks so we'll just click on add color and paste that in there and click Add so I think that looks a little bit better and now you can see that this section has been added so I'm gonna add some text in here for the last section and then I'm actually going to do is connect this about us button on the menu to this section here so when someone clicks it it just goes directly down to here but I think I'm actually just going to quickly change the design so when you are designing your site just keep mucking around with the design and it's kind of trial and error I see what looks good and what you're satisfied with so I'm gonna change this section to hot pink and I'm actually going to change the text color to gray so you could just do the color here and just change that to gray so I think that looks good that it's good for the light gray and now if you want to add more text in so just to click on add again and this time we're going to add a paragraph so just go to text and we'll just add a paragraph in then you can just drag this down to here so this is where it becomes important like I mentioned earlier to have good fonts that match together because when you're adding fonts that somebody you want somebody to actually read you don't really want to add a font like this you want it to be something that's quite easy to read so if we edit this and we're going to choose a font so actually let's see what this font looks like first so let me just add my text in here about what I want the about us section to includes I'm just gonna say crudely totes was created to spread the love of famous quotes and beautiful tote bags it was a great way for us to spread passion both these combined so you can obviously go a little bit more in depth with your About section or you can even go and create a completely separate page for your about page but just for the purpose of the tutorial I'm just going to speed things up and leave something like that so I'm just going to try and get this into the middle there we go and if we edit this text again you can align it so I'm just gonna line to the middle because I think that looks nicer and I'm just going to change it once again I think I'm just going to change it to white there we go and now I'm just going to change the actual text that it's written in so let's see what this looks like so that doesn't completely match so you can see what I mean about the fonts looking good together so you have to just keep you know like I said trial and error till you find something that looks good so I think this might look a little bit I think that looks much nicer or you know you can try the font that you've chosen you know for your kind of menus and your headings so let me just try that just to see what it looks like and you can see for this font it's not completely readable so I am just going to change it back to something that's a little bit more readable so I'll just go back to this brandon grotesque and we'll just leave it at that for now and you can also make this bigger or smaller gain so I'm just going to oops so just click undo sometimes it can be a little fiddly so there we go that's much better and we can just adjust the size of this actually I just want to be getting a little bit bigger and just move it more into the center there we go perfect so that is the about Us section created as you can see you can see here that even though we have lined it up in the middle when you're actually scrolling it doesn't look like it's completely in the middle so you can want the back I said you know just do some trial and error on your site to see what looks best so now that we've done that we are going to add an anchor on to this section so one anchor does is it will allow us to add a link to this about button on our menu so when we click it it will come straight down to here so if you just go to add again scroll to more and then scroll to anchor and you can just drag this onto the about text so now if we just click X on this you can right click this and rename it so I'm just going to rename this to about us and we can click X on that now if we go to menus and pages go to about click on the three buttons change link and just going to change this to about us okay it's already been pre-created because that's the only anchor I have so I'll just click done and click X and now if we preview this again that should work so we'll just click on this it brings us down to the about Us section so that is perfect so we're going to do next is we are just above this section here going to add an email opt-in just to capture an email list of our customers and that's a really great way to actually promote your store later on so let me just go back to the editor and if we click on add again and we can scroll down until we see contact and you'll just see here this get subscribers so join our mailing list so we're just gonna add this on as well and they would go it's added on to their so give it a little second to load so we can just start moving some of this stuff down so let me just move this section down and you can just keep it centered and then we're just starting to add this one in here so you can see we still need to just move this section down a little bit and as you can see the the foot just moves along with it so that's really good so now we can just add this section in we'll just stretch it out to the full width and I'm just going to move it up a little bit and move this section back up a little bit just to line everything up perfectly and then we can start editing this so just click on this and click on settings and then go to design and we can edit some of this so the header had a paragraph text we want to be think again should we say let's say this dark pink and the subtitle is going to be dark pink as well and we'll just click back and the background I'm going to go for I think my this gray color let's go for this and if we bring this down I can actually change the color of this as well so I'm just going to make it great and maybe just make it a little bit lighter like that so that's perfect and you can change your corner radius just to make it more round if you want to like that but I'm just going to leave it square how it is that's fine and we just got back and you can change the fields so I'm going to make the field white so that's this field here and the border color I'm just going to leave as gray and you can change the text color again I'm just going to change this into pink once again or I might just leave it as black actually because that makes it stand out a little bit more and if there's an error message you should leave it as red because that's the general color when somebody receives an error so that's fine we'll just click back and then the button so the actual button I want to be pink and the button border gonna be pink as well that's perfect and you can leave the what I'm going to leave the font as white but you can change that one in here as well if you want to you can also change the layout of how you want it to look so if you want it horizontal like this you can do like that or if you want it vertical like how it'll do it so I'm going to leave it vertical and now that's done I'm just going to leave that like that I am going to just drag it out a little bit more so let me just move it over again and just move this and drag this out so it's a full width of the screen and we can't just make it a little bit bigger as well just make this a bit bigger and we can just move this section down a bit that's perfect and now as you can see the the anchor link we added earlier so the about us anchor link is still under this section so you just want to get this and drag it down to here so well when the user clicks on it it does bring in them to the correct section I've also noticed that I think that this is a little bit out of line so like I mentioned earlier I'm going to just move that over into the middle that's much better so that's our home page that is perfect everything is coming together perfectly I think it looks very professional and it also suits the niche that I mean really perfectly so if we just preview it without everything gone you can see the customer as soon as they come on to your page they can look at the images that they can buy on your product so if I just click on one of these you can see that they get the image and they get a nice little preview of the tote bag that can be printed on if you do pick other products that they will all be lined up here as well and then if you click on it they can actually see the full tote bag and Add to Cart and they can checkout so that's really good that's coming along lovely so if I just go back now and just click X off of this you can also see that the about Us section that we created work so that's shows that the anchor we created earlier is working perfectly the only thing that I want to change now is you just get rid of these social icons or possibly move them around and just move this little cart icon as well maybe more in to the corner and then we will start working on the FAQ and Contact Us page so just click back to editor again one thing I did actually forget to mention on this email opt-in if you go to settings you want to actually set this up so I know I've already entered this in into my business area when I set up my Wix arts or so whatever email you send in here that is where you will get your subscribers to who enter their emails into here so I'll just thought I would quickly mention that so now what we're going to do is we're just going to get rid of these social icons I like to keep my social icons in the footer of my websites I think they look more professional there but you can add them in to the header if you like but I'm actually just going to delete these so if you just click on it and just click delete and I am just going to move this cart icon and just line it up here unfortunately at the moment Wix art store doesn't allow you to change the color of your icon but they are working on adding new functionality to this so I would be able to change this to white soon just to match the rest of my store so now that we've done that we will work on the footer at the end of our store and you can see I've already got a subscribe now area in the first so I'm just going to delete this as well because there's no need for it and I'm just going to add my social icons in here so if I just click on add and you can see if you just go under social you you can just drag this into here so I'll just drag that into there and I can just line it up with this then if you click on social setting links you can actually change the icons so let's say you don't have a Google+ account for your brand you can just click on add icons and you can maybe add Amazon or Apple or snapchat or LinkedIn there's so many different icons in here that you can use so you can just add one of those or you can upload your own and you can also change the links so that they link straight to your page just in here so if you just click on this you can link it to your own Facebook or Instagram page for your brand for your store so if I just click off of that that's perfect and then I'm just going to click onto this and make my footer a little bit smaller so it doesn't have a lot of wasted space so let me actually just drag this down a little bit sorry so if you just click on the undo button it will allow you to undo stuff and now I can just just want to make it a little bit bigger so sometimes Wix can be a little bit glitchy so you just have to be a little bit patient with it and there we go perfect and I am just going to change this bottom strip here so I'm just going to change that so change the background just click on color and I'm just going to change it to the gray that I've been using throughout my store so now let us preview the page the whole home page so it's looking really good you concentrate on it looks really clean we have our logo here we have all of our different pages over here if we click on the about page it brings us down to the about Us section and then we have our footer over here we also have our subscribe now area so that our customers can enter in their email address to subscribe and we can send them promotions through email one last thing that we may need to do is just to add a link to our logo so when we click on it it brings us back to our home page so just go back to the and if we click on this we can find the link area so just click on that and on the page we just click which page we want it to be aspect to so I'm just going to bring it to the store page and just click done and now when we click on this it should bring us back to the home page every time so we have successfully created our home page it looks really good and we have successfully set up Wix art store so if I just go back to the preview again just to show you when someone wants to buy an item they click on the image they want it will bring them a preview of all of the items that it can be printed on and what they look like and they can just click on this and add it to their cart and check-out so that is perfect so now that we've done that we're just going to click back and click off of this and we're just going to go back to the editor and start designing our FAQ page so if we just go to page and click FAQ and you can see so the header it stays consistent on every page on your store where you create and so does the footer so that is perfect and then under here we can start just adding some design to our FAQ page and just adding some information into the frequently asked question so the first thing that we're going to do is just change the fonts so just click Edit text and I'm just going to change the front just to make sure that everything is consistent throughout and then I'm just going to drag this area up a little bit because I think is a little bit too large at the moment and then I'm going to change the fonts in this area as well so just click on settings go down to design questions and answers and if you pick the drop down you can change the fonts again so I'm just going to pick this again if I just close this move it to the side just so I can see so we just scale this up a little bit I think 30 is about right that's good this and you can also change the answers so if I just get rid of this now and click preview the answers are in this format and the answers can be shared on Facebook Twitter or Google+ I don't really think that that's necessary for an FAQ area so I'm going to uncheck these now as well so I'm just going to leave that open and go back to the editor go back to the FAQ page and we'll change the settings of this again I'll just drag this back over here if you go back down to designed Question and Answer you should be able to tick here they are to see the social chain so go to settings and you can just uncheck these I don't think that they need to be shared because it's not really necessary and we can also change the design so you can play around with the design I think I'm just going to leave it how it is for now because I'm I'm pretty happy with that I'm just going to change the header font as well quickly so just change this and make it a little bit bigger so it's bigger than the actual questions themselves so we'll just go for forty to me and we can just close this and like I said you can't change this so if I wanted to change the design and just change the color so I could just change the background color to my pink for one to two which is actually pretty cool I might leave it as there actually and and then I can change the font colors to white because I think that looks a little bit better so I'll just go to these questions and the answers and change these to white as well and we can actually just drag this area out as well if we want to just like that you know you can Muck you can play around with it to see what you think is best I actually prefer it to be able a little bit smaller so I'm just going to bring it back down to this size and let me just line everything up inside the grid and we'll just bring this area up here better and we can add you can also add some areas down the side here so if I split add now I can add a box just down the side so maybe just to make this area not look so empty so just check this down as well just so that the whole area is together so I'm just going to drag this down as well and you can add one of these on the other side as well so I'll just add another box on the other side just make this a little bit smaller again and then we can just drag this over here just drag it to the side just like everything up so that is our frequently asked questions page I'm going to bring this into the center because I think it looks a little bit nicer and then you can see they frequently ask questions down here so now we can actually start changing our questions and putting some content into the questions so we're going to have a look at some of the inspirational web sites we looked at the beginning just to get some inspiration for what to add into our frequently asked questions but of course you can add whatever you know is applicable to your site and what you think your customers will ask you most and you can always tailor these so perhaps after you actually have your site live you might have customers sending you email a particular subject quite frequently so you can just add the answers in here so that they can find it for themselves so in order to actually change the content of the questions just click on settings and go to manage questions and in here we will show all of these different questions that are showing on our website at the moment and if you just click this little pencil icon you can change the question that can be asked and the answer of course so let's just look at some of the other websites so we can use these inspiration for questions and you know questions that are frequently asked for most ecommerce sites so how can I pay for my order so that's a good one so let's go back to our site and just say how can I pay for order and on WIC sites you can use PayPal and Visa and credit cards so we're just going to copy this text here we've got it covered we accept payment cards so they've listed two different payment cards which Wix also accept and also PayPal payments so we'll just go back and paste this in here and just click tick and the next question that we can use so is it safe to order online this is probably a very odd question but it's definitely something that can be asked quite a lot so we will add this one in here as well and like I said just tailor these questions to whatever you think your customers are going to ask you the most so we're just going to change this just to keep it consistent again and you can of course change your frequently asked questions area to have different categories so you know about refunds and shipping and payments but at the moment we're just going to leave it as one frequently asked questions area and if we just head back here is it safe we'll just copy this again but you do make sure that you know you have your you write your own content for the answers because you want it to office Lea seem personal to your own website and if you write yourself at least you know what you've added in there is correct and suits for your website so we'll just click tick on this and we're just add two more so I have added a shipping and returns page to this website what it already came with the theme so that's where we're going to cover everything about shipping and returns so for the last two frequently asked questions we'll just add something else in so we'll add in something like can I cancel my order so we'll add that in there so it's actually a right for people to be able to cancel their order so every website has to allow customers to cancel their order so we'll just say can I cancel and we'll just copy this text here so they've they've said you'll be unable to cancel it once the order has been placed if it's already been processed and received so we'll just leave that in there but like I said you might want to add a contact email in here such as contact us that contact to quarterly tips.com and you can create a free professional email address to add into your contact just check out the video that I've created about creating a free professional email address so you can create one there with these domain name that you've purchased so we'll just add that in there and we'll just add one more in so let's just say can i exchange an item and we'll just say we don't have an exchange policy so we'll just use that and we'll just say we do not offer exchanges so like I said you can just tailor Lee's to whatever you think suits your website and perhaps whatever questions are being asked the most frequent and just add them in here and like I said you can change them for different categories if you want to such as payments refund policy shipping and things like that so let's just preview that just to make sure that everything is working once we click on it perfect so that is great so that's working perfectly now and I might just have a look at removing this white area here so let me just go back and just see why that area is showing so we just need to stretch this down to here that's why and just make sure that you are saving frequently throughout when you're on amending your website and making changes to it so we'll get rid of this there okay we'll just leave it like that so that's perfect so our FAQ page is ready and now we're just going to do the same for our contact page and our shipping and returns so we just go to pages and click on contact and we'll just start editing this so I'm hoping that you're feeling a bit more confident now using the Wix editor because it's really easy you just click on what you want to edit and it just updates it so that's really you know it's a really simple way to start creating website with no coding experience so we'll just update that I just want to make that a little bit bigger say 50 again that's perfect and we can leave this text but of course you can tailor it to whatever you like I'm going to delete the number area here and just leave the email but if you do have a telephone number for your business you can add that in there and like I said earlier you can create a free professional email address using the domain that you purchased in the beginning and just check out my video about how to do that it's absolutely free so then your customers can contact you on a professional email address instead of having Outlook or Gmail and something that doesn't look very professional so I'm just going to add this in here and we can start changing this area as well so I think I'm going to change the page background color let's just have a play around with it that's pretty cool I don't want to change the entire background I don't think so I'm actually just going to go back and I'm just going to add in one of these again so I think you can arrange this and just click send to back so that's perfect and we will just stretch this out just the same as our other pages just to keep everything consistent and I'm just going to drag this area here again just so it's the same as the other pages so we'll just bring this one down here and we'll just drag this down to the bottom of the page then we can just bring this one up and perfect so our contact page is new enough already I'm just going to drag this to the edge just like the other pages and you can also change the fields within all of these areas so if we just go to manage fields and click rename you can just change this if you like to something like full name and change this perhaps to maybe email address so if I was just to remap rename let's just address in here and you can also manage the contact form as well as if we just click on settings you can enter the email address that when when a user or a customer enters a message in here this is the email address that that message will be sent to so make sure that you update that with something that you use regularly and where you can actually answer your customers back and you can add in a second email address if this one is not working for some reason so that's perfect and you can also change the layout so how you want it to be laid out and the design of course so I am just going to customize the design so I'm just going to see what the text looks like if I just do it like this so just the same don't want it to be that big I think 25 should do that's perfect and you can also so just go back that's fine that's perfect that's okay and I'm just going to move this up a little bit they would got perfect so you can also on the design change the button colors so I'm just going to do that quickly so just go to customize design again and you can change the button background color so I'm just going to change this to light gray what that looks like and then I am going to change the button font color as well button color text and perfect so Contact Us page is now ready so that is perfect I'm just going to a little white border in here just to keep the consistency through all the pages as well and the next page that we are going to amend is just the shipping and returns page just quickly whilst over here we can just delete this from here obviously because we delete it from our contact page and we can just add in the email address here just to keep everything consistent and we can delete this area here as well because we have our social icons down here so we don't need to duplicate them so that's perfect so now we are going to just save this and we'll head over to shipping and returns and we'll just update this as well just to make sure that everything is consistent throughout so first thing we'll do is just edit the text just like we other pages just change it to this and I'm just going to change it to 50 just to match the other pages as well that's perfect we can drag this up and we're going to add it into the center just to be the same as other pages then we'll add boxing again send it to back and we'll just drag this to the edge perfect and we'll just bring it down to the bottom again of our page so we'll just bring it to here and we'll just bring this area up again just and we could just bring this down a little bit okay that's correct so now we're going to update our shipping policy and I'll return and exchange policy so what you want to do for this head back to order a print go to their products and shipping area so just under the knowledge center go to products and shipping and we're going to take some of the information from their product and shipping area and add this to our site so let's just start off by dragging this up to here and we can edit the text so we're just going to edit the text color and we're just going to change this as well to the font that we like just make this 25 that should be okay maybe it's a little bit bigger let's try 35 perfect and I me also once you change the font color so we're just going to change this to white and in here we're going to add shipping policy so we're just going to copy this from here so we can just copy this and and we just paste this in here so that's perfect we don't need to add this star in here and of course in this area here whatever products you have picked you're going to want to match them up with this so I have picked tote bags so bags only ship to these areas they do not ship to Asia Middle East northern and southern southern Africa or Australia and New Zealand so in back in my area here I'm also gonna want to say we currently do not type refer ship to and I'm just going to add in Asia so I'll just head back to here the Middle East so we can add that in northern and southern Africa and Australia New Zealand Iran Crimea Syria northern Sudan and Cuba so that's perfect and I think I'm actually just going to swap these two around so I'm just going to make that number two and I'll make this number one and that should be fine I'm going to that and that's perfect so that's pretty much our shipping policy you can also add some others extras in here such as the shipping prices I'll show you how we can set up the pricing for shipping in a moment just after we set up all of our pages but for now you just want to make sure you have all of the information from order a print under your Wix shipping policy and make sure that they match up so everything is crystal clear for your customers so if you if you're selling in the United States you have all of the different products covered so you won't have to enter in anything in there but you you know if you're selling in any of these countries some of the products from order print that do not ship there so you'll just have to mention that in your shipping policy that's fine so I'm just going to edit this as well and just change this to white just to make sure everything matches up and then let's just check this up as well we can change our return and exchange policy so let me just drag this up and line everything up and we'll just start by editing the text again just to make sure like I said everything is consistent so the main thing when you are creating an online store or any website for that now is consistency but it just makes it look way more professional and when it's more professional people trust it so for the refund policy I'm just going to use the same policy that order a print have so if the order arrives damaged of the product is defective the customer can contact us to return it within seven days of delivery date so we're just going to copy this and we're just going to amend it a little bit so we'll just delete this and paste that in there so if the order arrives damaged or if the product is defective I will just say you can contact us to return it within seven days of delivery date we will investigate and if relevant we'll refund you for the damage or effective items or replace it at our discretion so that's fine so we're basically just saying we'll only refund you if there is something wrong with the product if there's not then we won't so let me just edit this again let's change that to white and that is our refund and shipping and returns page so that's perfect we don't really need to include anything else perhaps if you want to add in a different refund policy maybe if you're happy to take returns back to your own personal address then you can maybe amend this and make this 30 days but for now I would just keep it the same refund policy as the order a print one I'm just going to change this again it's not updating to white perfect and we can just make this area smaller again because we don't need to have that large area at the bottom necessary perfect so our shipping and returns page is completed so now we'll just click Save and now we can finally just update our store policy so let me just move this to the middle again edit the text perfect just business into the center okay that's great and now let's just drag this section up so what we want to do in here is actually add our store policy so you can generate a free store policy just by going to get terms I'll go for the free terms just enter in your website address so totally totes calm your company name and just a tour location so I'm just going to put London and then just click generate free terms and you can see your free Terms of Service is here so that's perfect so we'll just click copy to clipboard and you'll head back and we can delete all of this section here and here and just bring this section up to the top and we can just paste those terms that we just generated into here so let's delete this and just paste that in there perfect and we can just delete this and we'll just drag this to here and there we go there's our Terms of Service so that's perfect and we'll just edit this payment methods area and we'll just change this to this will change the font to white lastly here just 235 okay so our Terms of Service or our store policy is perfect and ready to go and it didn't cost us anything or take us that long to generate so we're just going to add in a box in here again just stretch us out we just line up there and then we'll just drag this down the bottom of the page just to match the rest of our site that's perfect now we can just bring this section up there as well and this one as well just so now we're just going to change the font color for this so we just go to edit text change this to white as well for our store policy and we'll just change this to white also just to keep the consistency like I've been saying and perfect so our store policy is ready and up and running really simple and easy to use so we'll just click Save and I'll leave a link in the video description for get terms dot IO so you can get your own privacy policy for your website as well so let's have a look at our site everything is coming together now perfectly let's just click on preview so I'd say our homepage is now completed we have all of our images that our customers can purchase if they just click on buy now it comes up with the products that they can purchase that the images can be printed on and if they click on that you can see they can add it to their car so that's perfect we just get rid of this we have our about Us section so that's perfect and our subscribe now area that allows us to capture email addresses from our customers so now it's really coming together and it's looking really clean and professional so the next step that we're going to do we're going to design our site so it is optimized for mobile so to make sure that it looks good just as good on a mobile as it does on a desktop and you know as you know everybody's shopping online on their mobiles these days so it's really important to have a nice looking website on mobile so we're gonna do is just click on mobile and then click Edit mobile view and we'll just give it a second to load and if we look at our mobile view at the moment it does look a little bit off and there's some areas that look a bit strange so you can see the foot here this large black area it's not really necessary and the header is looking a little bit strange it's not something that would you know it looks very professional when you first come onto a website from a customer's point of view so we're just going to start changing some of this stuff on the mobile version of our site just to make sure that it looks good and clean on a mobile so we'll just change this area so we'll just drag this up that looks much better so we'll just change some of the other stuff on here as well so let's just click on this text and make it into the center I think that looks a lot more clean and then we're just going to change our header just to make it look a bit more professional so we'll just move the logo over a little bit and we'll just align our cart just we can align it into the center let's see how that looks I think a little bit higher just look a little bit better and also our menu widget so we'll just align this into the same area and then we'll just pull our header up just to make it a little bit smaller so about there it's perfect and we can just move that I'm just going to move it with the keyboard that's perfect and now what we want to do is just change the design of this icon here so we just click on design and customize design and the first we're going to do is change it when it's closed so the icon color I want it to be white when it's closed and it's good of that that's perfect and if we just scroll back up to the top and when it's open I want the background to be pink and I'm going to change the opacity of this a little bit so let's just bring that maybe to 85 let's say so it's just a little bit see-through when the user clicks on it I think that looks really nice and then we could just change the text as well so they're selected but I'm just gonna change to white let's get rid of that and just change the font to match the rest of the site perfect I'm going to just make that a little bit bigger that's great okay so now our home page is done and it looks pretty clean on a mobile as well and if we just preview this so let's just save this and preview again we can see everything is working as it was on a desktop version so the user can still click on it and see the products that it can be printed on and they can just click on the product add it to their cart and checkout so if we just go back to our home page what we need to do next is just optimize the rest of our pages for mobile so we just go back to the editor again and we'll just go to the FAQ page so you can see on the FAQ page it's got these two pink large areas that's what we added on the two sides on our desktop version so it's sort of deleting these what we're gonna do is we're actually just going to hide them so I'm just going to hide this element and I'm gonna hide this one as well so that just means when the user is on a mobile they won't actually see that element and then what we're gonna do is just drag these to the side just so it's full width like it is maybe not that much to the side so let me just bring that in a little bit more and then we can just drag it out a little bit more this side perfect and then we're just going to bring this down a little bit and just bring this if they cute into here just like it is on a desktop version so that's perfect and we're just going to bring this down a little bit just so there's a little bit of white space between the FAQ and our footer so that's great if a queue page is practically optimized obviously spend a little bit more time on optimizing on mobile but generally if it looks okay and it's usable for your customers then it should be okay so our next page we'll just hit save again so make sure you save throughout our next page is our Contact Us page so this one actually looks pretty decent as it is but we just want it to look the same as our desktop page so we'll just drag that to the sides and we'll just bring that down and we can just bring this area up a little bit so that's perfect and then what we want to do is just bring this area up a little bit as well bring this up into the center again and we'll just bring this up here okay perfect so our Contact Us page is looking pretty good on a mobile as well next page is our shipping and returns page so like I said we just want to keep everything the same as the desktop version just to keep the consistency so we'll just bring this up into the center so let's just make this a little bit smaller and we'll just bring that perfectly into the center and we'll just drag this area up to here and if we scroll down there you can see there's this big white gap so we can just bring this wheel way up just keep dragging it all the way to here perfect and we can just bring this down a little bit just to there okay that's perfect so our shipping and returns page is ready just going to bring that a little bit more into the center again perfect and we'll just save that one and our store policy so we'll just do this just keep everything consistent let's just drag it up to here like this to the sides so this one's quite a long one we'll just drag this to the sides again just like our other pages and it's really worth just putting in the extra time to actually optimize everything for mobile as well just make sure it does look good and it's really you know professional for when your customers go on to your site on on the mobile version so I'm just making everything to the center I think on on a mobile it looks better when the text is centered so I'm just going to Center this as well okay that's pretty good I would say as mobile mobile websites go it looks pretty professional and everything looks pretty much in proportion so if we just save it and preview it we can have a look at all of our pages just to make sure that everything is working correctly so we just go to the store page you can see it looks pretty good on a mobile gain and let's just see if our about our section is still working so it still brings us down to here which is perfect if we also go to contact us page for example let's just see and that is working perfectly as well so we have optimized our site now for mobile so that's great so we'll just go back to the editor and we'll just go back into our desktop version just to make sure that nothing has changed since we've updated the mobile version of our site so everything's still looking good here as well so now these site is perfect it's up and running we have all of our prints ready to go so all of our pictures ready to print on our products and they will be shipped directly to our customer for customer baizen so the next step that we need to do is actually just to make the store live so we need to connect a domain and actually just to publish the store so that's what we're gonna do now so in order to connect our own domain name to our store we do actually have to publish our store live which means purchasing one of wix's packages so we just click on site and just go to connect domain and just click connect a domain you already own and once it loads it will bring you to this page with all of Wix different packages so as you can see they have different packages ranging from so if you're on the US it'd probably be fifteen dollars all the way down to two or three dollars and in the UK you can see it's from fifteen pounds down to two pounds every month so it is really cheap and like I said at the very beginning of the tutorial if you're on a tight budget is a lot cheaper than using Shopify so I'll just give you a quick run-through so you will need to have this ecommerce package so that you are able to accept payments from your customers using debit card or credit card or PayPal so you will have to go this is the cheapest option that you can have you do get $75 worth of Google ads about with this package so that's really good that just means that you can use that to promote your store once it's up and running to get customers to come to your store so you spend $25 on ads and you get $75 for free and you do also get this site booster app which is $60 in value so this just helps you to get traffic to your store as well so just for the purpose of the tutorial just to show you how to connect their domain I am going to just select the cheapest option but when you are going to publish your store live if you do want to start receiving payments from customers that can purchase products from your print-on-demand store be sure to at least pick this ecommerce package and you know if you really want to you can go for the VIP package it doesn't really offer much more you can run email campaigns with it and get a professional site review from someone at Wix but personally I don't think that you necessarily need that when you're first starting off and you can always upgrade as you go along so if you pick this package in the beginning and after a few months you're making sales you're doing really well you can upgrade to the VIP package afterwards so I'm just going to select this package and I'm just going to go for the monthly subscription I don't want to pay for yearly or 3 years but you can purchase a full tier if you really want to I'm just gonna go from monthly just to obviously for the purpose of the tutorial I don't want to you know buy a whole year subscription so let's just click select and all you need to do then is just enter in your payment details so I'm just going to do that now and I will click on submit purchase and see you on the other side so once you've submitted your payment details you'll then be brought to this page where you'll be asked if you want to find a domain name for your site as we've already purchased one in the beginning just go down to the bottom here and connect a domain you already have so just click on connect it give it a second to load and from here you can actually connect a domain name so just under domain just click on manage and then click connect a domain you already own so it's going to do that and then all you need to do is type in your domain name so let me just type in the one I own and then click next give it a few seconds and you can see it's found our domain through GoDaddy so then all you need to do is click on yes it's from GoDaddy and it will give you this guide to setting everything up so what I'm actually gonna do is I'm going to go through this guide with you guys so you don't have to watch the whole thing so just head over to GoDaddy and the first thing you want to do is just sign into your account so I'm just gonna click sign in and then what you want to do once you've signed in is find the domain name that you want to use for your Wix website so I want to use this quote elite oates domain name so just click on DNS and then scroll down until you see name servers so we're going to do is we're going to add the Wix name servers onto our GoDaddy domain so just click Change and then choose custom and then we're going to go back to Wix we're just going to click start so let me just put my volume so just click start to connect your domain to your end all you can do then is just scroll down until you get to step 4 and just copy this first name server so we've copied that and we're just going to paste that into here and then we're going to copy the second name server so we'll just copy the second one and paste that into here and then all you want to do is click Save and once you hit save your records will update so once your records are updated just head back to Wix and scroll down to step 5 and just click verify connection and that's it your domain is now connected to your store so it does say it may take up to two hours for your domain to be visible to the world so if I was just to open up a new tab in Internet Explorer for example and just typing quickly totes it won't come up at the moment but if I give it a few well 48 hours it says but it usually takes a bit quicker than that but we'll just wait until you get a confirmation email just saying that your site is up and running live so now we've published our site live everything is ready to go we're going to publish our store so if I just go to edit site just give it a moment to load it can take a little while sometimes and we're just going to publish our site just to speed up the process so all I want to do we'll just go back to our store page and we're just going to click publish and it should say congratulations your site is published and is live online so we'll just click done and now we can just click we just go over over publish and just click on View site and you can see our site is now live and up and running so you should receive the confirmation email when your site is up and running as well but this is one way you can just speed up the process so you can see that my website does have the Wix branding on it and that is because I went for the cheapest option but if you do choose your e-commerce option you will not get this Wix branding on your store it will just come up completely clean and empty so that's all done and perfect so the next thing that we're going to do is just go back on to the backend of our dashboard and we're going to have a look at some of these other areas on the backend of the Wix dashboard so the first thing you might want to do is change your site name so when you have your website up in the browser tab it will show this site name so at the moment mine is showing as my site 3 which is a little bit of a silly name because it doesn't actually tell the customer anything about my web site or what it is so I'm just gonna change this so just change it to your domain name so I'm just gonna change this to quickly totes if I can spell it right and just click rename so that's perfect and under here it still says your site is unpublished but you can just ignore that because we did just actually publish our site so if we carry on scrolling under SEO you see an area here that says boost your site's SEO with Wix SEO Wiz so you can actually use this feature if you want to it will help you to have a higher ranking within Google which means you'll get discovered more and people might be more likely to buy or purchase one of your products so that's a really good great way to start promoting your store and also when you do sign up so you do get this with the VIP package I mentioned and you also do get the $75 free of Google Adwords so that's a really great way to start promoting your store once you've got it up and live when running and it's been published also you can upload your own favicon so obviously I can't do it because I'm not on the e-commerce plan but if you're on the e-commerce plan you can upload a you know custom favicon and under social you can actually upload some images so that when somebody shares your website on Facebook so they could buy one of your products and say I want to share this on my Facebook page and that image will show when they do share your website so that is some little extra things that you can do also under mailboxes you can create a personalized email address using your domain name but I do have a do actually have a video about how to get a free one of those so you just watch that and you can get a free email address you don't really need to purchase one through Wix and you can also look at your tracking and analytics so you can have a look through Google Analytics Google Adwords your Facebook picks also that tracks all of the people that go on your Facebook page and share your website through Facebook and you through Google Analytics you can look at how many people have clicked on your website your traffic your daily traffic your monthly traffic and things like that so that is the overview of the backend we'll just go back to the main menu and go back to the – bored and from here we can actually go into the art store and I just want to quickly run through with you whence how to withdraw your money when somebody does make a purchase so you would just click on withdrawals and your money would be in here so let's say someone bought a product from your store the money would be sitting in here and then if we just go over to order a print you can look at their withdrawals process it's really simple so as you can see the money would be showing and all you would do is click on withdrawal funds and you can enter an account that you want to pay it to or PayPal account so they do pay you to paper and then you can pay that into your bank account so that's a really quick and easy way to actually withdraw your funds once you do start making sales on your site and I just want to quickly show you in case you have forgotten how to add extra products to your store so I know I have focused mine or solely around tote bags but if you wanted to add more items or more products to your store just go into the Wix art store again open up the app and then under manage store not this actually just store and then you can go to set pricing and you can actually just tick more things that you want to use so let's just say I want to take all of these and click done and now when I approve you my site again if I click on buy now you'll see all of these different items that this image can be printed on so you can offer loads of different items and products if you want to I think it is personally better you know maybe to just focus on a few because not all images look good on all products but like I said that's a quick and easy way to just add more products to your store so that is it for this tutorial guys I hope you have enjoyed
