hi welcome to my Channel today I'm going to show you how you can point a Namecheap domain to a site ground hosting so bear with me and watch this video until the end okay so first you have to log into your name chip account and your site ground account then find a domain name that you'd like to point to your site your hosting so in this case I have a lot of domains on my account so I'm gonna view all domains here and I'm going to add this test site on the.com I'm going to go to my site known user area click my accounts tab and then click go to cPanel this is how the cPanel looks so here you have to click add-on domains and now you have to enter the domain name that you'd like to add their sites around hosting so pretty for this example we have the test type in be calm and then it will generate an FTP username and password for you you can click password generator and copy it save it somewhere and check this checkbox here and then use password you have to paste it again if it's it doesn't match you can change the FTP username to whatever you like the important thing is that you have these details saved somewhere safe and after that click Add domain now click go back now that you have added the domain to your site not the hound the next thing to do is to go back to your name chip dashboard and click manage next to the domain name that you'd like to point to site ground scroll down to name servers as you can see here it said named chip basic DNS so right now it's POI into Namecheap what we want to do is to point it aside round so here click custom DNS and you need to enter name type server 1 and name server 2 so now where can you find this name servers go back to your side round account click my account information and settings here you can see a hot DNS copy and paste it on to the name servers field on your name ship account and click this small check here to save the changes it's said here that the na server update may take up to 48 hours to take effect but on my experience is just usually takes around 30 minutes to one hour but to be sure you just check your site from time to time if it's pointing to site ground already after this you can now go again to cPanel and then install WordPress or whatever application that you'd like to use to your domain name so this is if you want to learn more about WordPress or anything that's related to building a website don't forget to subscribe and comment down below any questions that you have and I'll be glad to make more tutorials for you bye .
