So, we are very sorry if the text is not well organized and we may work on it in the future but for now we hope you get the benefit mainly from the video then you may need to have a look on the transcript. Thanks for your understanding 🙂

in this video I'm gonna show you exactly how easy it is to log into your website back-end via SSH now this video is specifically for Namecheap users but the concept applies for pretty much most hosting providers this way we'll be able to access the website files directly and do a lot of things in the backend and a lot of this like the command line in general scares people but don't worry that's what a big part of this channel is about to help bridge the gap between you know needing to hire a website developer to make your website and doing it yourself because that'll save you a ton of money so if you're interested in stuff like that definitely consider subscribing to this channel for more videos like that anyway when you sign up for Namecheap you're gonna get a welcome email and this is mine here on the screen I signed up for the stellar Plus account which I highly recommend for beginner websites and if you especially from one a hosts multiple websites it's a great very cheap way to do so but cheap not in like the sense of quality cheap in the sense of price if you scroll down you'll see your cPanel details your username password don't worry about so you can't really hack into my website we want to take note of the username and down here under the ftp details the port so let's open up a terminal if you're on Windows you're gonna have to install a application called putty so just google putty SSH Windows install that and then follow the instructions from this point forward okay so we got a terminal window open and this looks good what I want you to type in is SSH your username which I have right here so for me it's Siri you do whatever that is I think I got that right at your domain name for me it's serial guru and then space dash P and this port number so for me it's two one zero nine eight okay so basically hit enter this is while it's loading your username at your domain name – P for port and then the port number for your SFTP port typing your password again I changed my password so don't try to hack me okay and once you type your password and hit enter you are now logged in to your website host and you can prove that by doing LS for lists this is all the files and folders in the root of your website I have here not any longer but I have hosted here which one Toni flow com the diamond app comm and inside public HTML is my Syrah website so yeah that's about it I hope you guys found this video useful super simple concept like I said but it's very powerful once you know how to do it if you liked this video give it a thumbs up if you really liked it subscribe and if you do I'll see you in the next one .
