Let’s look at connecting
your Wix online store to Printful. Hey, it’s Maris from Printful! In this video, you’ll learn how to: create
your Wix account, connect it to Printful, add products and set up shipping. Before connecting the two platforms, you’ll
need to create accounts on both. So, if you’re not yet a Printful user, go
to our website and create your free account! 1. Creating your Wix account.
To get started with Wix, choose one of their
Business & eCommerce plans. Only these Premium Plans
support receiving payments, which you'll need
for your store to function. Choose a plan that works best for you. Now let’s create a Wix account. You’ll be asked a few simple questions that will help you create
a website that matches your needs.
Since you're creating an online store you’ll need to select “an online store”
from the dropdown menu. This will add the Wix Stores app automatically
to your website, which you need to accept payments
and sell your products. Now you have two options
for creating your online store. With Wix Artificial Design Intelligence, or
Wix ADI, you can get a custom website made just for you—design and even content ready to go. Or, select the Wix Editor and choose a designer-made
template to create your own professional online store.
I went with the first option since it only
takes a few clicks to set up. Take your time and
customize your store in any way you want. 2. Connecting your store. Next, let’s connect our
newly created store with Printful.
Login to your Printful account, go to Stores
and select Choose platform, find Wix, and click Connect. Now click the Connect to Wix button. You'll be redirected to your Wix account where you'll need to log in
with your account information and click Allow. That's it! Your accounts are connected,
now let's add some products. 3.
Adding products. Go to your Printful Dashboard,
select Stores and choose your Wix site. Next, click on Add product—this will open
up our product push generator, where you can create your unique products
and add them to your store. I’ll add a men’s shirt for this video. To do that, click on Men’s clothing, T-shirts
and the model you like the best.
You can see there are two techniques
to choose from—Printing (DTG) and Embroidery. Each has their requirements and design guidelines, if you’re new to Printful make sure to check out
the links in the description under this video to help you better understand them. I’ll stay with the printing technique. Let's click on the Design tab, here you can create your designs
by combining texts and clipart elements. You can upload your artwork
by clicking Upload file.
For this video, I'll use
the Printful Peacock sample file. Now you can resize
and reposition your print file. Follow the print quality information
over here for best results. Once that’s done, click on the Product tab and
select all the colors and sizes you want to offer. When you’re finished
click on Proceed to mockups.
Here you can choose what type of mockups you
want to show on your store as product photos, and also choose the image format. Choose your favorites
and click on Proceed to descriptions. On this page, you can edit
the product title and description. We already have default product
information in the description below. We recommend you customize it
to match your brand.
For this example, I’ll leave it as is. Next, proceed to pricing. Here you can decide
on your profit and retail price. You can see Printful’s fulfillment price
for the shirt in this column and the suggested retail price next to it. When I change the retail price,
my profit adjusts automatically.
Lastly, make sure that
the product visibility box is checked here, and add this product
to any of your store's collections. Then click on Submit to store. This will upload your product
to your Wix store—and you're all set! Don’t forget to set up your billing information
with Printful for your purchases to go through. To make it easier for you,
we made a video about setting up billing. You'll find a link to it below! Depending on where your customer lives, Printful may charge tax on your orders, such as Sales Tax in the US,
or VAT in the EU.
You may also be liable
to collect tax from your customers. You can manage your tax setting by choosing
Store Tax from the Wix Settings menu. We recommend you consult
a tax specialist on your specific situation. If you have any other location
that you need to set up or you have other questions about Wix tax settings,
check out articles in their knowledge base. 4.
Setting up shipping. When setting up shipping, remember that the
Printful and Wix integration only supports flat rates. You’ll find all the information about Printful's
flat shipping rates by visiting our Shipping page, I`ll leave a link to it
in the description below. To match Wix's shipping rates with Printful's, you'll have to use Wix's
Rate by Weight shipping settings. First, let's add weights to our products—
from your Wix site dashboard, select Store Products.
Click on an existing product and scroll down
until you reach the Inventory & Shipping section. We recommend adding the same weight
for products in the same category. Here, I'll add 1 lb for my t-shirt. The weights you add
won't show up on your store and won't impact the shipping cost on Printful's side— they'll only be used to calculate and
display the shipping cost for orders at checkout. Once that’s done click Save and return to
the Main Menu by clicking here.
Next, click Settings and choose Store Shipping. Here you can add and
customize the regions you ship to. You can either add new regions by clicking
on New Region, located here or edit the existing regional settings
by clicking Edit next to the green toggle. Let’s click on Edit
under our domestic shipping settings. A new window will open up,
where you can add more destinations and change the shipping calculation
for the chosen region.
The calculation settings that you choose will
apply only to the specific region you're editing. If you have multiple regions,
each has to be configured separately. If you want to have a specific shipping setting
for a country or a group of them, add them in a separate region. Printful and Wix integration
supports flat rates only and we recommend using
the Rate by Weight shipping calculation because you can assign
an arbitrary weight for your products that have similar shipping costs
to our shipping rates. Scroll down to the Shipping Calculation block and from the drop-down menu
select the Rate by Weight option.
The Rate by Weight shipping calculation
will charge the weight of the entire order. Enter a Delivery Option Name and add
information for the Weight Range and Rate. I'll put down “Standard Shipping” and
set the weight to the one I added for my t-shirt, 1 lb. In the Rate tab,
add the shipping cost for a t-shirt. You can find it on our Shipping page.
Once that`s done, click Save
and update the shipping settings for other shipping destinations
in the Regions tab. All of your shipping rates
are up to you and your preferences. Just consider Printful's shipping prices
and how it affects your profit. You can also include shipping costs in your
product base price and offer free shipping. That may help you to set up shipping easier
and makes an excellent selling point.
