In this tutorial, I will show you how to buy  and install WordPress on iPage step by step. i will show you which hosting plan you should  choose and the actual buying process involved   i will then show you how to install wordpress  on ipage the right way and choosing the correct   settings towards the end of this video  i will give you a very special offer   if you decide to pick up ipage through my link  below i will give you my
six figure blogger   course for free as a way of saying thank you  for supporting my channel now let’s get into it   step one click on the link in the description  or type this into your browser it will take you   to my special ipage discount page where you will  get the best discount ipage is currently offering   now we go to hosting and click on web hosting  so from the hosting page you scroll down   and you can see their pricing
there’s only  one plan for you to choose from and in that   plan you have unlimited websites and pretty much  unlimited everything the only difference here is   how long you buy your plan for so you can  get it for three years two years or one year   and the price gets cheaper the longer you buy it  for so i always recommend that you buy for as long   as you can so in this case would be three years  as you’re gonna save the most
money because when   it comes time to renew you’re gonna get charged  the full price so take advantage of a discount   when you can and they have a 30-day money-back  guarantee here so if they’re not right for you   from the start then you can cancel and get your  refund but if they are then you’re saving money   in the long run so go click on add to cart next is  to choose your domain name here’s something that   really annoys me
that no other youtubers tell you  about and this is how expensive domain names are   with hosting providers so for example ipage is  going to cost you for a dot-com domain 10.99 for   the first year and 17.99 to renew your domain name  every year with them and this doesn’t include the   domain privacy which is another ten dollars per  year and domain privacy is very important as it   will protect your identity so marketers won’t  be
able to contact you and annoy you every day   selling their services to you so all up it’s going  to cost you on average 28 per year so this is very   expensive what i do and what i recommend you  also do is get your domain names from namecheap   this is what i do with all my domain names so you  can see here it costs 12.98 to renew every single   year and it’s got the domain privacy included  with their whois guard for free every
single year   so the overall price for a domain name on  namecheap is about half as much as ipage so to me   it only makes sense to do it that way but if  you’ve got a lot of spare cash and you just want   the easiest option then just type in the domain  you want to buy into this box but i already have   a domain name so i’ll type in my domain name with  namecheap into here click on search now click on   i own and want to transfer
this domain click on  i want to transfer my domain and now we want to   scroll down click on continue to add-ons and for  here we do not want the website backup or the site   lock there are free options available instead of  paying money like this so don’t waste your money   just keep it simple and also we’re going to remove  the domain transfer as i had to click it to be   able to go to the next step which i also believe  is not
very ethical from ipage to do it this way   so cancel that and now click on proceed to billing  so now fill out your personal details here and   we come down and fill out our payment method here  also you can choose between paypal or your credit   debit cards and now you can click on purchase and  now we can see here our purchase is successful   sometimes there’s an auto review like here so you  just have to wait for your account to
be confirmed   and then we can move on you can see that just  while i was talking the setup has been completed   and now i can log in so the next step is to  go to your email account and check your email   and here is my order confirmation next i  will click on this to create a password   enter the security information now click on  save and continue and here is our dashboard   so the next step is to connect that domain name  from
namecheap to ipage but if you ended up   buying your domain name for mypage then you can  skip this step and go straight to the next step   anyway we need to click on import domain click on  add existing domain and now enter in your domain   name from namecheap and click on add existing  domain next step is click on manage then click   on hosting tools and these two name servers  here is what we will need to copy and paste   in our
namecheap domain account from  my namecheap domain that i’ve selected   you come down to the nameserver section  click on this and change it to custom   dns and this is where i will need to paste my  two name servers in here make sure they match and now we just click on save dns server  update may take up to 48 hours to take effect   this is really the case it normally takes  about an hour or under and your site will   have been
transferred to ipage and once  that’s done we can move on to the next step the next step is to install our wordpress website  and to do that from our dashboard we click on   wordpress click on get started use existing plan  type in your site title put in your email username   and password make sure you don’t use admin in your  username as this will make it easier for hackers   to get into your website now click on install  wordpress
and that’s it it’s a fairly easy method   we still have another step to go but i just wanted  to ask you if you’re getting value from my video   so far if so just let me know by liking my video  and subscribing to my channel so you don’t miss   out on more quality video that i release every  single week but before we click on manage site   to work on our website we need to install our  ssl certificate and to do that it’s very easy
with ipage from our summary dashboard page all  you would have to do is just to make sure that   the let’s encrypt is on and to enforce our ssl  so that’s all just make sure these two buttons   are on and our ssl is done this is as easy as  it gets even compared to other hosting providers   just a quick note though make sure you don’t  click on ssl certificate here to try and install   it because this will take you to the paid
option which i believe is pretty manipulative   for my page here see trying to make you pay  three dollars per month but you don’t have to next step we’re going to create our email account  and we do this by going to email management   and clicking on standard as the other two options  will cost money again now under email management   we just click on add email choose your mailbox  name and password and once you’re happy click on
create mailbox and that’s it your email account  has been created successfully that was also very   easy to do just to make sure that everything  worked i’m going back to my wordpress dashboard   and now you can click on manage site to access  your wordpress dashboard so you can see here   from the wordpress dashboard that our wordpress  website has been installed successfully and even   our ssl certificate is working and our site
is  secured if you want to see what the front end   looks like you just hover here and click on visit  site and here it is our page is set up correctly   and running just a quick note on my bonus offer  to you if you decide to pick up ipage through my   link just simply send me your receipt to bonus dot  com dollar dot com and i’ll send you access to my   bonus course right away it’s that simple now that  you’ve successfully
installed wordpress onto your   bare bones ipage account it’s time to go out and  fully build out your wordpress website and this   next video will help you do just that so check  it out and i’ll see you in that next tutorial
