hi guys welcome to wordpress essentials in this video I'm gonna show you how to install WordPress on your code addy hosting account in five simple steps let's go through the prerequisites to follow along with this video you will need an active GoDaddy account with cPanel installed on it and a domain name owned or hosted on the same GoDaddy account so let's begin with the procedure the first step is to login to the cPanel of your GoDaddy account the second step is to scroll down to the web application section and click on the WordPress button third click on the install this application button on the top right corner of the screen the fourth step is to fill up the details on the installation page let's start by selecting the domain name from the drop down list you can choose to add a directory however if you wish to install WordPress directly to your domain name leave this section blank next select your auto update and backup preferences I personally like to update my site and plugins manually so I will select the don't automatically update option you now need to enter your WordPress admin and website settings enter an username password and an email address for your WordPress admin account next give your website a title and a tagline you will now need to select an authentication method for a wordpress admin login I like to keep it old-school by using just the username and a password finally you can change the Advanced Settings by selecting the let me manage radio button I usually don't change anything here so I'm gonna leave it on auto the fifth and the final step is to click on the install button at the bottom right corner of the screen this will start installing and processing the application on the back end and once this installation is completed we are done you are now running WordPress on your GoDaddy account you can now check out your WordPress website or log in to your WordPress admin account by clicking on the appropriate links on this page that's all folks thank you for watching this video don't forget to drop a like and subscribe to our Channel if you have any questions or suggestions please feel free to comment thanks and have a great day .
