How to install an SSL certificate on Godaddy Wordpess Site

In this video I show you how to install a new SSL certificate using Godaddy hosting. You can also use the video to how to renewal SSL certificate as well.

After You login to your Godaddy Account

Click cPanel Admin.

In the Security section, click SSL/TLS Manager.

Under Certificate Signing Requests (CSR), click Generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests.

Complete the fields in the Generate a New Certificate Signing

Request (CSR) section and click Generate.

Your CSR displays in the Encoded Certificate Signing Request section. You’ll need to make a copy of the CSR to request an SSL certificate.

You then have to Request and Download your SSL Certificate

Provide the CSR to the company who issued the certificate. If it’s GoDaddy, request the certificate.

After the certificate is issued, you will need to download your certificate as a CRT file.

Upload and Activate Your Certificate

Click cPanel Admin.

In the Security section, click SSL/TLS Manager.

Under Certificates (CRT), click Generate, view, upload, or delete
SSL certificates.

Use the Upload Certificate section to upload the CRT file from your local machine and click Upload Certificate.

From the SSL/TLS Manager, click Manage SSL Sites.

Click Browse Certificates and select the certificate that you want to activate. This will auto-fill the fields for the certificate.

Click Install Certificate.

If your using a WordPress site you will need to install a SSL plugin
I recommend “Really Simple SSL” simply download and active it.
