You have to login to hostgator hosting account using username and password. Then, click on add-on domains feature and enter your new domain name. It will create space in hostgator hosting for your website/blog. Once you added new domain name to hostgator, next step is to edit DNS settings of godaddy domain.

For that, Login to Godaddy account using username and password. Then, you have to edit DNS settings of godaddy domain and add name servers of hostgator cpanel using the custom option under DNS settings.
