hi it's Michele Green and in this video I'm gonna show you how to point your Wix domain to a cPanel hosting server so after you log in you want to go up to your username and hit the drop-down and scroll down to domains and then you want to go to the Advanced tab and you're not able to update your DNS servers so what you want to do is you want to update the a host and the cname aliases and the way you do that is under a host what you want to do is log in to your cPanel hosting and you should find your Hosting's IP address in your hosting dashboard and what you do is replace this with that with that IP ok and make sure that the domain name is whatever your domain name is under the host field and then under cname make sure that this points to your domain name so Wix will have two entries here default and you'll need to delete those and then add this one where you just add basically your domain name and then you want to save it and within 24 hours it'll be pointing to your server thanks .
It's not often I get clients who have Wix domains. Most usually go for godaddy. So, I didn't realize you couldn't change the name servers for a Wix domain, which presented a challenge for me since hat's how I am use to pointing sites to my web hosting server. However, with a little digging I discover a new way to skin a cat. This video shows you how to connect your Wix domain name to cPanel hosting.
