hi today I'm going to show you how to set up a new my sequel database in Hostgator and that's assuming that you're using Hostgator other than that if you're using a different immense t'm or cPanel it's probably very similar so anyway once I'm already logged in so scroll down through you have the different sections and we'll scroll down till we get the databases and just click on the my sequel databases okay and you can see some other that I already already having around several pages actually but anyway I'm going to set up a new one so you want to name it something you know that so that you know what it is every now and then I end up coming and cleaning some of these out and so flip you know what they are so let me go ahead and do that now I'm setting up a redirect script for one of my site so okay click create database and it says that it's added the database it always pins it with whatever your main login is or about that okay now that we have the database we're going to sign in a user to it you see these have users already assigned to the moment all the same so scroll down to the to the bottom I'm going to add a user to the database and that's the only one that I have you can actually add a new user if you wanted to but just use the same one and you want to find the database you just created click Add okay and we will give this user all privileges make changes and now it's been done okay that's been added in now the chances are that you've added this database because you need to use it in a script of some sort so I'm going to go ahead and just go ahead add it to mine real quick and this is one of the easiest ways for me to get that script where I can work with it with a text editor so I'll just use my FT FTP program and I will go find my script and by this court you've probably read your you read me or installation information and has told you what file to edit in this case it's the master configuration file okay and somewhere in your script you'll see where it asked for your data based perimeters in most cases hostgator which is what we're working on it's localhost and then you'll enter your database name which in this case these are your your database names right here you would just take that section right there and you would put that right here in between the two hard to two marks right here and then your username you know would be this right here in this column users and then whenever you set this your your user up it's going to be you'll set up password for us so if I didn't enter enter a password because this this user already has a password assigned to it and then I will just put that right there and then I would save that file and that's it and appreciate your checking on this video out and please visit the work at home guy whg UID e-comm for more free videos and and tutorials thank you .
