hey guys today we're gonna show you how to pleat your name cheap purchase that domains to your digital oceans droplet so the first thing you'll need to do is go to your domain list and then under the domain list you'll need to find the domain that you want to manage and click manage and then here you'll need to scroll down until you see name servers as you can see we've already modified it but it'll initially look like this a name cheeked Namecheap basic dns so you'll just click on that and click custom dns you'll type in the name servers which for Namecheap excuse me for digital oceans it's n s1 which stands for name server 1 dot digitalocean com name server 2 and name server 3 initially you'll only have two lines so you'll need to push the + button to add a third and then when you're all done you just click the checkmark to save it and this will update your name server information for your domain it does take a little bit of time to propagate so it won't instantly be pointed to your droplet but it can take a few hours or a few minutes I know I've done it so when I propagated it I tried it at home and I could access it within a few minutes but then when I remote it into my office computer and tried to look at the website there it didn't happen for like four hours so do keep that in mind that it can take some time depending on where you are if you do have any additional questions don't hesitate to reach out don't forget to like this video and subscribe to our channel for more .
